Self-Introduction

Good morning/afternoon, professors. my name is Ren Li, I come from Wuhan University of Technology and my major is Computer Science and Technology.

During the past three years, I studied hard and my score was at the top of the major. I have strong interest in scientific research, especially about the data mining and machine learning, so I made great effort to learn related knowledge in these fields when I was studying in the university.

For example, I researched and developed a Face Liveness Detection System with classmates when I was a junior student, and I worked as team leader. This project intends to figure out a recognition algorithm which can classify real face images and fake photos for anti-spoofing. We trained SVM classifiers by different combinations of features and achieved a good result finally.

Besides, I took part in the China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling. By competing in the contest, I accumulated solid foundation of mathematical theory and cultivated my ability of transforming real life problems into abstract mathematical model.

In addition, I think I’m a cheerful boy and I have good communication skill and team working ability. I uesd to be the member of Token team, which is a student Internet team of Wuhan University of Technology. I was mainly responsible for data analysis and improve the Handheld Campus APP, our team developed.

Today, it’s my great honor to stand here for the interview, institute of information engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences is my dreamy institute. When I came here for the first time, I was deeply impressed by the learning atmosphere and faculty. So I’m eager to take my further study here.
